If Carlson would take 5 years, which I'm not sure he would, I say go for it. Pionks play has been real solid and defensively I think he's better than Shattenkirk but do you put Shattenkirk on the 3rd pair? Interesting decisions this offseason but if we're able to sign Carlson and Kovy I think the playoffs aren't far fetched next year. |

I thought this team wanted to do a full on rebuild? Why would they be trying to sign a guy like Carlson long term |

Hey Jan,
"Full on rebuild" -- yeah I don't see how we commit to that with guys like Lundqvist, Zuke, Kreider, Zib still here. I think if those guys are here we'll be at best an 8 seed in the playoffs and at worst, 10'th worst in the league.
Listening to Boomer on the radio daily he mentions as a season ticket holder wanting to see "effort" every game. I think we all do, but like many years in the past effort guys like Dubinsky, Callahan, etc couldn't get us to the next level.
Rebuild is an interesting term and I'm happy with the picks. Hopefully guys like Chytil and Andersson can really pay off. I think want a guy or two with that consistent production like Malkin and Crosby. It's been a while since we've had someone or two people like that. Maybe Jagr when he first got here? He was putting up nice points, but it's been a little while.
Anyway, what up everybody?!?

At the BC - BU game. Not too impressed with Brady Tkachuk. Good size and a hound in front of the net, but not looking like top 5 or top 10 pick. Granted it’s only one game I was really expecting him to shine in a big rivalry semi final game. |

Well NYR doesn't need to worry b/c looks like 9-10th pick is more likely |

Like you said..it's only one game, but you would think a top 5 pick would stand out EVERY night playing in college. |

The Kovy rumors are not rumors. They are going to try and pursue him. See if they land him in the offseason |

Well the way he’s playing he looks like he should be going in the second half of the first round. Again it’s only one game, but I’d expect a top 5 pick to be much better than the 2 - 5th round picks and the undrafted guys he’s facing. He’s physically head and shoulders above anyone in this game, but skill-wise I’m not so sure. |

Kovy , Nash , and Grabs back!!?
Those guys along with another dman or two will get NYR right back in it.
I think with Zib, Hayes, Chytil and Anderrson, that Vlad is odd man out |

Adding him and Carlson could really change the direction of the team next year. |

You saw that move he made on Twitter?
Honestly, I don't know anything about him. It's hard to find a KHL stream that won't fry my hard drive. |
